Key Groups are the heart of church life here at the Oxford Vineyard. Think of them as family groups within an extended family network. They are where we grow as individuals and are nurtured personally, in our relationship with God, and in ministry. It is where we lock into Jesus, and unlock our future.

You can count on a number of things at any Key Group: You’ll find a friendly, non-threatening and informal atmosphere. There’ll nearly always be a time of worship as this is one of our highest priorities as a church. There’s always the opportunity to pray with somebody. It’s a safe place to use and grow in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. And of course you get to know the people in your group really well as you spend time together. It is out of these friendships come that we receive support, security and healing. It’s great!!

So to sum up, here’s a list of the objectives of Key Groups:

• to seek the Father’s face in worship and prayer
• to grow more like Jesus
• to make lasting friendships
• to receive healing and encouragement
• to receive pastoral care
• to learn to minister the gifts of the Spirit
• to develop pastorally gifted leaders
• to gather the unchurched
• to provide a structure on which the church can increase.
